Team Selection :
New loan signing Charlie Griffin went straight into the team in place of
Warren Patmore who was on the bench with a slight groin strain. Adrian Foster
and Terry Skiverton were suspended so Kevan Brown got his first start since
Scarborough. Elsewhere Jamie Pitman displaced Ben Smith in midfield. As
expected there was still no sign of David Norton

First Half :
Both sides started brightly but without creating real shots on target, and
there was little to comment on in the first twenty minutes. But Yeovil ended
up with the early rub of the green going against them, as Rob Cousins was
clattered by an elbow in the face from Dean Bennett, and whilst the referee
Mr Trevor Kettle took no action against the Harriers midfielder Cousins was
taken off needing stitches from a gash in his forehead. Paul Tisdale replaced
Cousins with Tisdale moving into midfield and Jamie Pitman making a familiar
return to his right-back position.
Lee Archer produced Yeovil's first real chance of the game from a free
kick which bent over the wall but was brilliantly tipped over the bar by Tim
Clarke in the Harriers goal. But five minutes later Yeovil found themselves
1-0 down. Ian Foster ran across to the left wing and cut in a low cross which
Mark DRUCE turned in on the near post from four yards out for a 26th
minute lead.
New signing Charlie Griffin had been putting himself about well as a target
man. But in the 37th minute he was rightly booked after he turned the ball
into the net long after he had been stopped for a foul. Harriers responded
well at the other end with Thomas Skovbjerg making a good run but his
half-sliced shot was well saved by Pennock as he turned the ball round the
corner.
During injury time Harriers could have again extended their lead when Lee
Archer gave the ball away to Craig Hinton and he squared the ball to Andrew
Brownrigg, once nearly signed by Colin Lippiatt as a central defender, but
playing in midfield. Brownrigg's shot was tipped over the bar by Tony Pennock.

Second Half :
Yeovil's second half began well when a curling Lee Archer cross was well
headed by Jason Eaton but was held cleanly on the goalline by Clarke. But
Harriers were beginning to impose on the midfield and Thomas Skovbjerg
produced more action for Pennock when his angled shot from Pennock's left was
again brilliantly tipped over. From the resulting Skovbjerg corner, Ian
Foster flicked a wasted free header wide.
The respite didn't last for long. Andrew Brownrigg grabbed the ball 35
yards from goal and pushed the ball through to Craig HINTON and despite
Chris Sparks' attempt to block the shot the ball slipped under both Sparks
and Pennock's bodies for a 2-0 lead. By this time Yeovil were in tatters. Seven minutes later there was more
woe as Chris Sparks handballed a cross (NB: www.football.sports.com suggest it was
for a foul, but from 80 yards away it was difficult to tell) and Ian FOSTER sent Pennock the
wrong way for the penalty as Sparks landed in the referee's notebook. There
was only one team that was going to win now.
As Matt Hayfield was booked for a foul on Brownrigg, Yeovil brought on Ben
Smith for Jason Eaton and within minutes of coming on Smith made an impact as
he put Hayfield through the centre but his shot was deflected by a defender
for a corner. Yeovil's collapse was completed when, with ten minutes to go, a one-two
between Mark Druce and Paul Webb split the Yeovil defence apart. It was
simple but devastating and Harriers captain Paul WEBB shot low and
hard from 10 yards for a four goal lead.
Harriers made late substitutions with Brownrigg exiting after a tackle by
Kevan Brown that earnt him a yellow card when the tackle looked 50-50, and so
Shaun Cunnington got onto the field and was soon joined by Stewart Hadley who
replaced Mark Druce. It could have been five with two minutes left, when Paul Tisdale completely
mistimed a tackle close to the dugouts and Ian Foster skipped through and
bore down on goal, but yet again that man Pennock kept the goal count down
with an excellent block.

Web Site Verdict :
Timid in the first half and demolished in the second half. Yeovil had the
opportunities in the first 45 minutes to impose themselves on the game but failed
to create genuine chances despite having plenty of the ball in the Harriers
half. The loss of Rob Cousins transpired to be a major blow, but it was the
second Harriers goal that knocked the stuffing out of Yeovil. Thereafter,
with the exception of a couple of players, the heads hung low and they caved
in. Kidderminster out-foxed Yeovil entirely thereafter and the midfield was a
farce with only Stott making any real headway. There is clearly a total loss
of confidence - the players look like they want to play for Yeovil, but the
past fortnight's events seem to have totally destroyed the foundations that
were once built up. It is vital that Yeovil compose themselves for next
Saturday against Witney, and the Wednesday game against this morning's league
leaders Kingstonian can only be looked at with extreme trepidation.

Thommo's Verdict :
I thought that in the second half we were certainly outplayed. I’m not saying which
department of the team I’m looking at, but I’ve got to look at the team I sent out and also the
reasons why we got over-run in the second half. It’s up to me to put that right, sooner rather
than later. Obviously the last four games,
results have been very disappointing, having only picked one point out of twelve. So, we could
just do with a result at the moment, but in the long run performances have got to improve.
