Born on March 1st 1995 in Sao Paulo in Brazil, Alefe he moved to England at the age of 12 and was part of Stoke City's academy system before switching to Bristol Rovers in 2011 where he was offered a scholarship. He was given a professional contract in April 2013 and went on to make 27 appearances, scoring one goal.
During the summer of 2014, he signed for Derby County after turning down a contract offer at Rovers. There he made just one cup competition appearance for the Rams, but had a three game spell with Notts County on loan during the 2015-16 season, followed by an unproductive loan spell with Eastleigh in the National League. Derby released him at the end of the 2016-17 season, leaving him as a free agent.
In the summer of 2017, Yeovil Town took him on trial, and on July 25th 2017 they have him a two year contract at the club as the club's eighth new arrival of the summer, keeping him at Huish Park until the summer of 2019.
Alefe has played a number of roles over the years. He normally fits in as a more attack-minded central midfielder, but also can fit in on the right flank, or in the hole behind the strikers as part of a diamond formation, whilst Derby also employed him as a right-back in their development squads.
