Name: Jake Gray
Date of Birth: 25 December 1995
Place of Birth: Aylesbury
Born in Aylesbury on December 25th 1995, he started his career as an Academy player for Wycombe Wanderers before Crystal Palace took him on at the age of 15, due to the closure of Wycombe's Academy due to the EPPP changes. He was given a professional contract shortly after his 17th birthday, on January 1st 2013, up until the end of the 2014-15 season and Palace were happy enough with his progress to extend that arrangement until 2017 when that initial deal ran out.
Whilst at Palace, he was sent out on loan to Cheltenham during the 2014-15 season, where he made four appearances. He then followed that up with a 2015-16 loan to another League Two club, joining Hartlepool United where he made 33 appearances, scoring six goals.
Having made just two substitute appearances for Palace - both in cup competitions - Gray was allowed to leave Palace in the summer of 2016 on a free transfer, to join Luton Town on a two year contract. Palace's terms in letting him go included a clause if Gray was later sold to another club for a fee. Across the 2016-17 season he made 28 appearances, scoring four goals for Luton. He played in both matches against Yeovil Town during that campaign, coming on as a substitute in the August 2016 match at Kenilworth Road, whilst he started in their 4-0 victory at Huish Park in March 2017.
Jake has agreed a two year contract at Huish Park, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2019. The club have agreed an undisclosed fee for his services, with Jake having cut his stay at Kenilworth Road a year short.
