Otis Khan was Yeovil Town's first signing of the summer in the build-up to the 2016-17 season, arriving on June 30th 2016. He started his career as a youth player for Manchester United, before switching across to Sheffield United at the age of sixteen. They gave him a professional contract at Bramall Lane after his two year scholarship, leading to him making two first team appearances, but he never significantly broke through, despite gaining experience with Buxton, Matlock Town and Barrow as part of loan deals.
Sheffield United released him on January 25th 2016, and on that same day Lee Johnson decided to sign him for Barnsley, giving him an 18 month contract. At the time of his transfer to Barnsley he described himself as "an attacking midfielder who likes to create and score goals", whilst Barrow referred to him as a 'winger'. He made three substitute appearances for the League One side shortly after he signed for the club, but with Johnson Jnr heading to Bristol City, those appearances dried up and he last made it onto the pitch on March 5th.
Khan is eligible to play for Pakistan through his grandfather. He was given a call-up to their international squad in January 2015, but was unable to obtain a Visa in time for the fixture. He was due to them take part in their FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures a few months later, but it would appear that he did not get selected for those matches.
He left Barnsley to join Yeovil, penning a one year contract with the Glovers. That was then extended in the summer of 2017, to run for two more years, contracting until June 2019. On June 29th 2018, Mansfield Town paid an undisclosed fee - reported as 100,000 pounds - to take him to Field Mill, after their offer triggered a release clause in his contract.
