Name: Stephen Arthurworrey
Position: Central Defender
Date of Birth: 15 October 1994
Place of Birth: Hackney, London
Fulham centre-back Stephen Arthurworrey was one of the few success stories of the 2014-15 season, after he was signed on loan in October 2014 under former manager Gary Johnson. He became a regular at the back for the club, eventually staying for the remainder of the season, and being a constant name on the teamsheet, even when the management changed and Terry Skiverton and later Paul Sturrock took over the reins. He was brought back for a second loan spell on July 1st 2015, with a full season deal agreed between the two clubs.
Born in Hackney on October 15th 1994, he is a 6'4" defender who has been on Fulham's books throughout their academy, since the age of 10 years old, and enjoyed a 17 game loan spell with Tranmere at the end of the 2013-14 season. He made his first team debut for Fulham playing in their League Cup match against Derby County on October 28th 2014 - his one and only appearance for the Londoners.
A few days after that game, former manager Gary Johnson brought him to the club to help deal with the club's leaky defence, and he made his debut for the club against Chesterfield in a 0-0 draw - a big result given that it was only the club's second clean sheet for that season. Arthurworrey went on to make 33 appearances, scoring twice - the December 2014 away win against Oldham Athletic, followed by the winning goal in the 1-0 win over Sheffield United.
Stephen returned to Craven Cottage at the end of the 2014-15 season, but in July 2015 agreed a twelve month loan deal that should see him stay with the club for the 2015-16 season as part of his player development. He also signed a new twelve month contract at Fulham to continue his stay there as his parent club. The Championship club have got a recall clause in the loan deal that entitles them to terminate the deal during the January transfer window, should they wish to do so.
