Date of Birth: 29 November 1992
Place of Birth: Welwyn Garden City
Ben is a 6'5" graduate of Cardiff's youth academy, having joined them seven years ago, at the age of 14. He originally hails from Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire, but his family moved to Somerset and he was subsequently recruited from Western League side Street. He made his Cardiff first team debut in August 2012 and has subsequently gone on to make 14 first team appearances, scoring one goal, and is on a contract with the Championship side until the summer of 2016.
He was named as Cardiff City's Young Player of the Year at the end of the 2012-13 season, and has subsequently gone out on two loan spells with Football League sides - a brief spell at Brentford that saw him net twice in five appearance, and then an eleven game spell with Peterborough United at the end of the 2013-14 season.
Ben's father is former Yeovil Town centre-back Richard Nugent, who played for the club during the 1995-96 season under manager Graham Roberts, making 25 appearances for the club. Richard also played for Kettering Town, whilst Gary Johnson was their manager, meaning that the Glovers boss saw Ben as a youngster as part of the Nugent family.
Ben has signed a loan contract with Yeovil Town until January 4th 2015.
