What hope have websites got when players now provide a running commentary of their every action on their Facebook? Tottenham Hotspur youngster Andros Townsend has revealed that he is heading for Yeovil. Unless he fancies a night out in one of the dullest towns in England one has to presume he means to inform the World he's heading to Huish Park to play some football.
In his second year in the Academy he is billed by Spurs as an 'attacking midfielder', generally playing on the left. Born in Walthamstow on 16th July, 1991, Townsend secured five caps for England Under-16s and was also involved in a friendly against Spain at the new Wembley Stadium in April 2007. He was given a professional contract at White Hart Lane in January 2009, and was an unused substitute in the UEFA Cup second leg tie with Shakhtar Donetsk on 26th February.
More if and when we have more formal confirmation.
