Weymouth manager John Hollins is claiming that Yeovil Town have an interest in their trialist goalkeeper Jamie Beale. Beale played as a substitute in last week's pre-season friendly against the Glovers and Hollins told the Dorset Echo that although Beale may be on the bench for their opening fixture tomorrow that he believed that the Glovers held an interest in the player:
"It is true that Yeovil are interested in him but we want him here as well. He is a young lad with a lot of potential and all we can do is try and make him feel wanted and at home. And yes, he could feature tomorrow (for Weymouth)."
Beale is a former Sturminster Newton Under 18s keeper that Weymouth drafted into their ranks last month. However, he played for the Glovers against Westland Sports on Tuesday night, and so it seems likely that he is being potentially offered up as the club's Youth Team keeper for the coming season.
