The Bridgwater Town official site states that they expect striker Tom Clarke's recall from his loan spell to continue for the time being. Tom was recalled yesterday as an emergency after Yeovil were struggling to make up the numbers for their trip to Swansea City but despite that obstacle being overcome, the Somerset side are not expecting him to return until the New Year.
Manager Craig Laird said that he was expecting Clarke to now feature in Glovers Reserve team matches over the next month as Yeovil work out whether to extend Clarke's contract beyond December. The Bridgwater boss explained:
"We want him to be successful with Yeovil and he deserves the chance to show what he can do for them. If he gets a new contract, Yeovil will be quite happy to let him come on loan to us again. If he doesn't, he'll be a free agent and we'll see what happens."
Tom's loan spell was a highly successful one, scoring seven times in 11 appearances across two months at Fairfax Park and he was just about to have that extended for a third month. However, the return to Huish Park will allow the club to determine how he has progressed in the last two months.
