Ipswich Town teenage striker Darryl Knights is training with Yeovil Town this week, according to BBC Somerset Sound. The 18 year old is an academy graduate who was a member of their 2004-05 FA Youth Cup winning side.
He made his debut for the Tractor Boys as a substitute at Sunderland in November 2004, although that still stands as his one and only first team appearance for the Championship side. He signed his first professional contract for the club in May 2005.
Darryl has been a regular for England at youth level, having played for his country in the U17 European Championship qualifiers during the summer of 2005.
Yeovil Town fans who travel to Weymouth for the evening Football Combination match on Wednesday night will get an early chance to see what Darryl can do; he is planned to be included in the Yeovil Town Reserves squad for that match.
