For Yeovil Town's visit to Rotherham United, brought forward three days after both sides exited the F.A. Cup at the first hurdle, Carl Boyeson (Yorkshire) has been appointed as referee. An occasion when our paths previously crossed was at the Saunders Honda Stadium in February 2005 when, despite dishing out four yellows and a red to the home side, Boyeson could and should have been even firmer with a thuggish display from Chester City that topped even their usual standards. That said he was roundly abused by Mr Cheat himself, Steve Evans, just a month later over some supposed injustice - so he can't be all bad as an official.
Mick McDonough (Tyne & Wear) and Gary Stott (Greater Manchester) will be running the lines, Andrew Smith (Yorkshire) flashing the board.
