Goodness, can it be true? A new broom sweeping Huish Park? Supporters being wooed rather than taken for granted? Well small beginnings, but yes, a wind light breeze of change seems to be stirring.
At the next home League One game versus Cheltenham Town on Friday 6th October :
the normal £2.00 surcharge for those paying on the day will be waived;
with the long delayed new away shirt close to delivery the matchday programme will contain a £5.00 discount voucher;
the Jolly Green Giant will be handing out sweets;
Five Minutes Of Fame will be launched - with fans invited onto the pitch at half-time to show off any er, 'talent' (has to be legal in a public place!) to the assembled multitudes. Contact Dave Linney on 01935 423662 to reveal what you, or your group of mates, can do.
Let's hope this initial breeze will become a gale of initiatives. It's inevitable that not everything tried in the future will turn out to be a success, but it's good to see the club taking some steps to be proactive and look after its supporters.
