Glovers boss Steve Thompson wants to prove that his side can compete with the best teams in League One tomorrow by making it a trio of victories to end the 2005/06 season. Yeovil Town play host to Colchester United tomorrow afternoon and despite the Glovers having nothing table-wise to play for, Thommo still wants to use it as a test to measure how close his side are to being able to match such sides next season.
Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol Steve explained: "We've sort of defied the odds in the last two games. We beat Gillingham when they had six wins on the trot and Huddersfield away is never an easy game, especially with the position that they are in at the moment. I would like to defy the odds again. I very much want to win this game. The players all want to win this game. We had a constructive meeting this morning before we trained where I stressed just how important I feel this game is. I wanted to convey that to the players and I would like to convey that to all the fans. It is a big game. We want to prove that we can compete with and beat these teams that are near the top of the league."
