Glovers boss Steve Thompson is taking five trialists across the Severn Bridge to play in tonight's Reserve Team match against Swansea City Reserves at Port Talbot FC, kick-off 7.00pm. Details of the five players are as follows:
John Danby (Goalkeeper)
Goalkeeper currently on the books of Conference National side Kidderminster Harriers. Born in Stoke-on-Trent on 20/09/1983, John started his career in the West Bromwich Albion academy sides before being released. Since then the 6'2" keeper has worked his way up through the Harriers Youth and Reserve ranks combined with the odd loan spell at local non-league sides before breaking into the first team during the 2003/04 season. He has played 27 times for Harriers this season, making 80 appearances overall for the club. He is out of contract at the end of this season.
Sean Kelly (Midfield/Centre-Back)
Sean is a midfielder who is currently on the books of Arsenal, having joined them in August 2004. He hails from County Kerry in the Republic of Ireland and was born on July 9th 1987. He is versatile in that at 6'1" he can perform at right-back, centre-half and midfield and has frequently turned out for Arsenal's Reserve side this season after many of the normal Reservists had been promoted to the first team and recently partnered England's Sol Campbell in defence whilst the more experienced pro was making his comeback to first team level. He has represented Ireland at various Youth levels rising up to turning out for the Under 19s this seasson. He has also captained Arsenal's Under 18s side.
Eddie Anaclet (Winger)
Eddie is a midfielder currently on the books of Southampton. He was born on 03 August 1985 in Arusha, Tanzania. Eddie had a five month layoff from football in December 2004 after he broke his leg, but despite such a bad injury he still managed to make his way back into the Southampton Reserves side by the end of the season. He has had loan spells with Chester City and Tamworth, where he was part of the side that performed so well in the FA Cup this season. He was previously on the books of Oxford United before joining the Saints in July 2002. He is also capable of playing as a striker.
Justin Cochrane (Midfield)
Justin is a midfielder on the books of Crewe Alexandra who started his career as a trainee with Queens Park Rangers. Following a free transfer to non-league Hayes, Justin had his career restarted when he was picked up by Crewe in July 2003 for £75,000 where he went on to play 77 times, picking up the club's 'Best Newcomer Award' during his first season. This season he has also had a loan spell at League One side Gillingham although the February stay in Kent did not coincide with either of the matches against the Glovers. He was born in Hackney on 26th January 1982 and stands at 5'11".
Jack Watkins (Striker)
Jack is a striker currently on the books of Chelsea. He was born on 2nd September 1987 in Westminster, London and is currently a second year scholar on their books. He is also an England Youth International. Jack has played in 26 out of Chelsea's 27 Youth Team matches so far this season.
