Former Yeovil Town winger/striker Jonathan Franks has chosen to stay in the North-East by penning a deal with one of the club's League One rivals. Hartlepool United have today announced that the 22 year old has signed a deal at Victoria Park, having turned down an offer from the Glovers.
Franks netted three goals in 14 appearances during a highly successful loan spell at Huish Park. However, born in Stockton-on-Tees, and having spent his whole career so far with Championship side Middlesbrough, it would appear that staying 'local' was a big plus for him.
As yet, no contract length has been revealed.
