The Professional Footballers Association have named their League One Team of the Year tonight, as part of their annual awards evening. The team, which is voted upon by fellow professionals in the division has seen the entire eleven formed from four clubs, with Charlton Athletic, Sheffield United, Huddersfield Town and Milton Keynes Dons all getting nominations.
There is one local connection in the side, with former Holyrood Community School pupil Ben Hamer getting the nod as the chosen team's goalkeeper. He is one of four Charlton players included. Not too surprisingly, Huddersfield's Jordan Rhodes is one of the strikers included, although there's a bit of an awkward moment with Ched Evans included as his strike partner two days after the Blades player was jailed for five years for rape.
The team selected is as follows:
PFA League One Team Of The Season: Ben Hamer, Michael Morrison, Rhoys Wiggins, Johnnie Jackson (Charlton Athletic), Ched Evans, Harry Maguire, Stephen Quinn (Sheffield United), Jordan Rhodes, Jack Hunt (Huddersfield Town), Stephen Gleeson, Darren Potter (Milton Keynes Dons).
