31 March 2012 : Johnson Pleased With Glovers Workrate
Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson hailed his side's workrate this afternoon, after they battled out a 0-0 draw against AFC Bournemouth at Dean Court this afternoon. The point gained was a rearguard action at times, with the Glovers having to defend for the bulk of the match, gaining only a small number of chances themselves.

Speaking after the game, Johnson felt that his side had to work hard against a Cherries side who came into this afternoon's match on 49 points, and therefore realistically safe from any relegation concerns. He said that allowed them to play with some flamboyance and freedom, but agreed that his own team had put in a great deal of effort to stop them in their tracks:

"That was a shift. We're very pleased with the workrate - that was the main thing coming down here. When a team (like Bournemouth) is already on 49 points and safe, they can throw a little bit of caution to the wind. And they're a good footballing side, Bournemouth."

Johnson also praised the 814 travelling supporters, who made plenty of noise throughout the match, but particularly paid tribute to goalkeeper Sam Walker, who put in probably his best performance for the Glovers so far:

"That was a super performance by our boys on the pitch and our fans off the pitch. I thought they were great as well. We hung on in their and had our two or three chances, and when they had their chance, our goalkeeper (Sam Walker) was up to the task. He's come good and looked like that Premier goalkeeper he's going to be."

This afternoon's draw lifts Yeovil Town up one place in the current League One table, rising above Preston North End on goals scored, and maintaining their six point advantage between themselves and the relegation zone.
