Ciderspace News Page : Hinds Back In Contention
29 March 2012 : Hinds Back In Contention
Yeovil Town should be able to add centre-back Richard Hinds back into their squad for this weekend's trip to AFC Bournemouth. The 31 year old was substituted at half time during the recent midweek match against Charlton Athletic with a hamstring strain; this week's Western Gazette reports that he has now recovered from that problem, and so should mean the Glovers would be able to name sixteen players in their matchday squad this weekend.

Gavin Williams, who also limped out of the same match, with a calf injury, is rated as "less than fifty-fifty" for this weekend's game, although hasn't been entirely ruled out. It seems more likely though that the club will have their eye on getting him ready for the pair of games over the Easter weekend.

Left-backs Nathan Jones (ankle) and Kelly Youga (Achilles) remain unavailable for this weekend's games. In theory there is a minor doubt over Middlesbrough left-back Jonathan Grounds although hopefully we should know whether that is going to be a problem over the next 24 hours. His partner was due to give birth on Monday, meaning that he has been back in the North-East since Saturday. All being well, Grounds was due to be back at Huish Park today, but obviously priority will be given to his family.

With Dean Parrett having returned to Tottenham Hotspur, manager Gary Johnson is back down to six loans, meaning that if Grounds was absent on Saturday, then it would merely mean that his Boro team-mate Jonathan Franks would get recalled to the first team squad. However, assuming Grounds is back in Somerset today, then one of the six players would need to sit out the trip to Dean Court.

Striker Steve MacLean, right-winger Billy Gibson and defender Rhys Baggridge will continue their loan spells with other clubs this weekend.
