Officials for tomorrow evening's League One clash between Milton Keynes Dons and Yeovil Town have been published by the Football League. The match takes place on Tuesday 6th March 2012 at stadium:mk with a 7.45p.m. kick-off. The man in charge of the game will be referee Dean Mohareb (Cheshire).
We've only had Mr Mohareb as an assistant referee and fourth official in the past. This is largely due to him only being promoted to the Football League's referees list in the summer of 2011. So far he's taken charge of 23 matches, with a relatively reasonable 68 yellow cards and two reds dished out. The most recent time we had sight of him was for the FA Cup Second Round match at Fleetwood Town in December, when he was the Fourth Official up in Lancashire.
He is a former primary school teacher, who works for the FA as a National Referees Manager. He has also worked as the Referees Development Officer for the Lancashire Football Association, and thus is responsible for the way that new officials come through the pyramid at the lower levels in that area.
His last match was the 3-3 draw between Crewe Alexandra and AFC Wimbledon around nine days ago. This is also the first time that he's taken charge of an MK Dons game as well, as far as we can tell.
Mr Mohareb will be assisted by Michael George (Norfolk) and Nick Hobbis (Birmingham). The Fourth Official will be Barry Holderness (Essex).
