Cult figure Colin Miles was offered and has verbally agreed new terms tonight that will keep him at Huish Park for next season. Fellow defender Adam Lockwood has been offered a month to month deal from June 30th when his current contract expires. Manager Gary Johnson was keen to stress this was purely because of Lockwood's injury problems this season, and that his longer term future at Yeovil would be secure providing he could prove his fitness.
At the other end of the pitch Andrejs Stolcers and Marcus Richardson have been informed that they are free to look for other clubs over the summer, but are guaranteed an invite back to pre-season training to compete for a contract against any other trialists Johnson may be bringing in.
Bartosz Tarachulski has been offered a deal by Yeovil Town, but it was intimated that there was a rival offer on the table that the club could not hope to compete with either in terms of amount or duration. Opinion seemed to be that the fact that the big man was still debating the issue in his own mind was a credit to his affection for the Glovers. However the offer from elsewhere is so good the odds must be that, with a young family to consider and just about to turn thirty, we have seen the last of Tarachulski in the green and white hoops.
Along with Stephen Reed, Dale Williams has been given a new one year deal. Richard Cullingford and goalkeeper Danny Barker are advanced from the Youth Team onto full-time deals for a year. Gavin McCullum has been invited to join pre-season training with the first team squad.
There is confidence in the camp that David Poole will be signing for the Glovers when his contract with Manchester United runs out at the end of June.
