Further to last week's news concerning Billy Gibson's agreement to sign a new one year contract, that has now been confirmed. The former Watford trainee has made just five substitute appearances since arriving at Huish Park last season, but will now be tied to the club until the summer of 2012.
Gibson is the club's first player to accept the offer of a new contract at Huish Park, with five players having already departed, and Craig Alcock yet to commit himself to the club. Alcock is now the only player to have not declared his intentions for the 2011-12 season, with Peterborough United yesterday claiming they had held talks with the right-back, although Alcock denied anything had taken place.
