Having now dug out all of the January Man of the Match Results (oops!) it's now possible to calculate the overall winner for that month, based upon the votes that we've received from Yeovil Town supporters across the month.
It was of course a good month, with four wins, two draws and one defeat easily the best month of the season, leading to manager Terry Skiverton and defender Paul Huntington getting noticed by the Football League's committee that decide the monthly nominations - Hunts of course went on to win the award for League One.
Of the Man of the Match winners, these fell to four players across the seven games, with Nathan Smith (Plymouth Argyle, Milton Keynes Dons), Paul Huntington (Brentford - home), Andy Welsh (Rochdale) and Stephen Henderson (Swindon, Sheffield Wednesday, Brentford - away) the star performers.
Despite Smith and Henderson winning more than one Man of the Match vote each during the month, the winner for January was identical to the way that the Football League saw matters. Step forward Paul Huntington who won by a narrow margin from his goalkeeper, with the percentage of votes cast as follows:
1 Paul Huntington 18.8
2 Stephen Henderson 17.9
3 Nathan Smith 15.5
4 Paul Wotton 10.4
5 Andy Welsh 9.7
6 Andy Williams 8.3
7 Max Ehmer 5.5
8 Luke Ayling 3.9
9 Ed Upson 3.1
10 Shaun MacDonald 2.6
