21 October 2010 : Huish Park Comedy Night No.2
A reminder that Yeovil Town will be hosting its second Comedy Night of 2010 on Saturday night in the Alec Stock Lounge at Huish Park. Those of you who have downloaded the Huish Park Leisure Guide will already be aware of the three events that are scheduled. The second takes place at 8.30p.m. this coming Saturday, with doors open at 7.30p.m. Here's what the Leisure Guide has to say about the evening:

"Huish Park Leisure and Just fair laughs team up again to bring you the second in a trio of comedy nights, as the comedy all stars visit for the second comedy night of the year. October’s event features headliner Duncan Oakley supported by Andy Watson and Paul Kerensa in what is sure to be another unique and hilarious evenings entertainment. MC for the evening is Ben Vandervelde and with tickets costing £8.00 in advance or £10 on the door it is sure to be a credit crunching evening's entertainment. Doors open 7.30p.m. and tickets can be obtained from the YTFC ticket office."

Here's what the Leisure Guide has to say about the four men on the stage for the evening:

Duncan Oakley: Welcome to the world of Duncan Oakley ... who is known for being very naughty and really quite rude, at least on stage; but this cheerfully childish behaviour belies his credentials as a seasoned professional show off ... ‘Unlike some musical comics who rely on a guitar to get them through, Oakley's routine deftly mixes the tunes with the stand-up’ - City Life Punchlines come at a heckler-proof rate and he has the confidence and the gift of the gab that will help him spar with the most lively audience, or inject a spark of energy into the most moribund one ... Oakley is an accomplished guitarist, drummer and harmonica player, but his biggest talent is his relentless bonhomie, making for an engagingly inane performance.’ - Chortle

Andy Watson: Abuzz with nervy energy, Andy has an irresistible, infectious style that has the audience rapt from the start ... ‘he grasped the crowd's attention and left them in hysterics.’- City Life

Paul Kerensa: ITV’s ‘Take The Mike’ Award Winner. ‘f**king funny’- Ricky Gervais ...‘Paul’s material is cleverly written and at times borders on the ingenious ... Some near to the knuckle material that belies his laid back manner’ - Grinreaper.co.uk

Ben Vandervelde: (MC) ‘left the audience beaming from ear to ear with satirical quips & hilariously sinister tales’- BBC3 ... ‘exquisite comic timing ...wonderfully clownish physical comedy’ - British Theatre Guide.
