Yeovil Town have appointed a new Centre of Excellence Manager today. The new man in charge is Mick Bennett, with Scott Green now formally assuming the title of Head of Youth within the club.
The changes have been necessary since the Mo Hopkins left his Head of Youth position in March 2010, with Scott Green assuming both roles on a temporary basis. Scott now takes over the more senior of the two roles, with Mick taking over his old position.
Mick is a 47 year old former left-back who represented England at Youth level, who was also on the books of Bolton Wanderers, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cambridge United, Preston North End, Carlisle United and Northwich Victoria. He has also worked as a coach at Bolton and Blackpool.
The club have also had another behind the scenes change, with Sara Bradley moving full time into the Community Trust operations, taking up a position as Joint Manager of the Community Trust alongside former Glovers defender Roy O'Brien. The Irishman's previous position within the club was that of Community Coach, so he has also been given a new title. The previously titled Community Trust Manager was Adrian Hopper.
That has meant that the club have now appointed website administrator Martin McConachie as Sara's replacement as the Supporters Liaison Officer. Contact address for all such issues remains supporter.link@ytfc.net as before.
