West Country football fans can have their say and listen to key speakers when the England Fans' Forum comes to Bristol on Wednesday. The event is a free and informal evening of discussion looking ahead to this summer’s World Cup in South Africa.
The England Fans’ Forum is an independently organised event that regularly takes place in London and is coming to Bristol for the first time. Since its emergence as a potential World Cup host, the spotlight is on Bristol and the South West to develop its links with International football. A panel of speakers will provide information on South Africa, travel, ticketing and what to expect from the tournament. Discussion will also cover Bristol's progress towards becoming a World Cup host city.
The panel:
Dave Spurgeon: ACTSA
Harpreet Grewal: Football Association head of Englandfans
Ken Malley: South West and South Wales Representative/International Policy, Football Supporters' Federation
Stephen Wray: Director, Bristol World Cup bid team
There will also be football art on display to whet the appetite for the forthcoming World Cup. The evening takes place on Wednesday 14th April at the Bristol County Sports Club, 40 Colston Street, Bristol, BS1 5AE, starting at 7pm. This is a must for all avid fans of England football based in the south west.
