This Saturday's opponents Hartlepool United appear to have a spot of bother concerning their team selection for the game. Substitute Ben Clark was a man in a big hurry. On as a substitute on 61 minutes, booked within 2 minutes of his arrival on the pitch and back inside the dressing room 23 minutes after his arrival after a second late tackle got him an early bath. He will now be suspended for the match at Victoria Park on December 19th.
That is not likely to help a Hartlepool side who are also expected to be without Denis Behan, James Brown, Stevie Haslam and Colin Larkin, and expect Neil Austin's hamstring strain to keep him on the sidelines during next Saturday's game.
The Glovers will be coming up against two former loan players, with midfielder Ritchie Jones probably wanting to impress against a club where he faded badly during a loan spell two years ago, making just six league starts across a half-season period at the club. Meanwhile goalkeeper Scott Flinders will have more fond memories of his nine matches played during early 2008. Flinders himself is likely to need treatment in order to play against the Glovers - he missed a week's worth of training last week with a shoulder injury, and played through the pain barrier during Saturday's match at Southend United.
