Lee Johnson talks exclusively to ITV and Ciderspace on 28th July 2005 as part of the Press Day at Huish Park.

Qu: I expect you cant wait until the season kicks off?

LJ: It is a new challenge for most of us and we are looking forward to it. The team was quite strong already and we got some good new players come in. Hopefully we should do very well next season.

Qu: Not a huge movement in the transfer market, that must be a good thing in a way.

LJ: We have kept basically the core of our side and have added around it. Hopefully that will stand us on good stead because we have the experience of last year while we have added a bit more quality into the side.

Qu: You must be looking forward to playing the likes of Bristol City and the twice European Champions, Nottingham Forest.

LJ: I dont think that we will be fearing playing against these clubs. Obviously it is great to go to big grounds but it is just 11 men on a pitch. We will make sure we will do well against them while making sure that their reputations dont get ahead of them.

Qu: It must be exciting entering a new chapter in your footballing career in League One.

LJ: Especially for me as I havent played at this level before. I am looking forward to the challenge and hopefully we can do well.

Qu: Pre-season hasnt been light at all has it?

LJ: No we have had a hard pre-season. It is good though and we have had a couple of lessons on the way, which is a blessing in disguise.

Qu: I suppose you are aiming for a promotion or play-off spot come the end of the season?

LJ: We are in it to win it. We want to play in the Championship and the best way to do it is to get promoted with Yeovil. I am sure that the fans wont want us to say that we are aiming to consolidate so we are definitely aiming to take the club into the Championship.

Qu: How have found playing alongside Paul Terry in the centre of midfield while breaking up your partnership with Darren Way?

LJ: Obviously I havent minded it. I am used to playing with Darren. I think PT is an important player in the team so it is important that he is in the team wherever it may be. I am looking forward to hopefully being in the team at the start of the year and playing with Darren or Paul or wherever I am asked to play.

Qu: Have you set yourself any targets for next season?

LJ: I have set myself some targets and personal goals but I am not going to reveal them. I am looking forward to hopefully an injury free season and I hope to get a few goals and assists.
