Ciderspace News Page : Daniel Webb To The Annies
4 January 2007 : Daniel Webb To The Annies
Rushden and Diamonds. Graham Westley. It gave us much pleasure when those two came together. The phrase "deserving of each other" sprang to mind. Westley was the man who promised Farnborough Town the Premier League in ten years and then left the club in ruins, who got himself escorted out of The Avenue by the police for behaving like a complete plank, who took Stevenage Borough ......nowhere........ and who has popped up again like the proverbially bad penny at the ever so briefly in the Football League Nene Park outfit.

Their Official Site reports that Westley :

........ has been quick to sign the young striker on a month's loan deal. Daniel has been allocated squad number 27 and will travel with the squad to this weekend's game versus Altrincham.

Since arriving at Huish Park in the 2006 January transfer window Daniel Webb has made one start and seven appearances from the bench for the first team. The initially agreed loan spell starts tomorrow and lasts until 7th February. Rushden are currently struggling in 22nd place in the Conference National. We wish all parties what fortune they deserve.
