Profile :
Steve was born in Edinburgh on August 23rd 1982. He started his career with Rangers, where he made a small handful of appearances, but it was his 2003-04 loan spell with Scunthorpe United that really caught the eye - coming up against the Glovers as he scored 24 times in just 42 appearances.
Perhaps surprisingly, Rangers let him go after that, allowing him to sign for Sheffield Wednesday for £125,000, where he spent three years, again with an impressive scoring record that got him 35 goals in 84 appearances.
After leaving Hillsborough, he lost his way a touch from his earlier prolific days, spending the 2007-08 season at Cardiff City to little effect, and then managing three years at Plymouth Argyle, including loan spells with Aberdeen and Oxford United, signing for Argyle for a £500,000 fee. He finished the 2010-11 season at Oxford where he netted six times in 31 appearances, before being released by Argyle.
On July 26th 2011, Steve penned a one year contract at Huish Park, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2012, having spent the preceding weeks on trial at Huish Park.
