Profile : Luke is a central defender, although can play in other positions, including as a defensive midfielder which the Glovers used him as during the latter part of the 2009-10 season. Arsenal also used him as a right-back in their Academy and Reserve Team fixtures.

Luke was originally on Arsenal's books and was a member of their FA Youth Cup and Premier Academy League winning side that did the double for the Gunners during the 2008-09 season. He was born in London on August 25th 1991. He stands at 6'1" tall.

Yeovil Town took him on loan at the tail end of the 2009-10 season, and when Arsenal decided against renewing Ayling's contract, that move turned into a permanent deal. He signed on a free transfer on July 1st 2010, penning a two year deal with the Glovers.
