Speaking to Sky Sports, Andy Lindegaard has expressed a desire to turn his short-term contract with Yeovil Town into something longer.
"It's great to be involved in football again after a frustrating summer, but there are a lot of players in that situation and I'm just glad to have got everything sorted, even if it is only a short-term deal at the moment.
I'm really looking forward to the game tonight against Norwich and hopefully I can be involved at some stage."
Lindegaard revealed this will be the first match he will be eligible for on his return to Huish Park, the paperwork on his registration and contract not being completed in time for the league opener against Tranmere Rovers :
"The lads had a great result on Saturday and played very well, so we'll just have to wait and see whether I can earn a place in the side for tonight. I signed too late on Friday to be involved on Saturday, so today is the first chance for me to make my debut.
I've been training on my own during the summer, but I also did some training with Yeovil and Kidderminster plus a couple of other clubs, so I am fit and ready to play and I'm really looking forward to it."
He also hopes the short-term deal may turn into something more permanent :
"I'd love to earn a more permanent deal here, but we will just take each game as it comes and continue to work hard in training. The manager knows everything about me and my game, so we will just see how things pan out at the end of the month."
