Yet another trialist has been added to the ranks for tonight's match. With last year's goalkeeper Josh Wagenaar having his contract offer withdrawn, and former Hartlepool United keeper Arran Lee-Barrett being released from his trial yesterday, that left only former Manchester City keeper Richard Martin - another trialist - on the teamsheet for tonight's match.
He has now been joined by Reading youngster Alex McCarthy. He was born on December 3rd 1989 and has had loan spells with Woking, Cambridge United, Team Bath and Aldershot over the past year or so and will now be looked at during tonight's match against Derby County.
Reading are his only permanent club so far, with McCarthy having risen through their Academy ranks. He has been trained with the England Under 19s squad although has not been capped yet.
