Yeovil Town have confirmed the signing of striker Sam Williams on a two year deal. He is a free agent having been released by Aston Villa over the summer. He stands at 6'1" tall and has in the main been used as a target man in the two matches he has played in so far.
Sam was born in Greenwich on June 9th 1987 and has therefore just turned 22 years old. He was on the books of Aston Villa although did not trouble their first team and was released from the Premier League club over the summer. Loan spells with Wrexham, Brighton and Hove Albion, Colchester United, Walsall and Brentford have given him first team experience. He also turned out for Hereford United on trial during this pre-season but chose to jump ship after a single trial match for a chance of a contract at Huish Park.
The very best of luck to Sam over the next two years and a big welcome to Huish Park.
