Yeovil Town goalkeeper Josh Wagenaar kept a clean sheet yesterday as the Canadian National side beat Guatemala 3-0 in a friendly match ahead of their involvement in the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. This was Josh's second full international cap and he played 45 minutes before being replaced by Greg Sutton between the sticks as coach Stephen Hart made full use of the friendly to look at his full squad.
Canada scored their goals through Ali Gerba and Patrice Bernier, with Gerba grabbing one in each half in a match played at Oxnard College in Canada.
The Canadian squad will spend today in Oxnard before moving to Los Angeles where they will prepare for their opening CONCACAF tournament match against Jamaica, which takes place on Friday 3rd July.
