16 April 2009 : Team News For Hartlepool
Yeovil Town manager Terry Skiverton will have to make at least one team change for Saturday's League One match against Hartlepool United. Midfielder Gary Roberts will commence a two match ban for a red card against Cheltenham Town on Easter Monday, meaning that the starting line-up will need to change for the game at Huish Park.

The hope had been that Bristol City midfielder David Noble would be able to slot neatly into the vacant midfield berth, but Skiverton told BBC Somerset that is unlikely to happen:

"He's been doing a little bit of jogging around today, but it still may be a bit too close for him. We're still monitoring it, but we've got other people who can fit into that position, so I've got no problems in filling central midfield."

Assuming Noble misses out on Saturday's match, Skivo has indicated that team selection could come between Queen's Park Rangers midfielder Danny Maguire, who has yet to make his debut for the club since arriving just before the loan transfer window closed, and the versatile Danny Schofield.

"Both Dannys have showed great attitude, so it will probably be a choice of one or the other. They've been doing really well and the whole squad has been doing really well. The attitude has been fantastic and everyone up on the training pitch has been trying really hard. We'll have a look at things tomorrow, but it will probably end up being one of those two playing."

The other issue that needs dealing with is the question of whether Chris Weale will be recalled to Ashton Gate tomorrow, and that is a matter that is out of Skiverton's hands. City first choice keeper Adriano Basso will be put through their training session and a decision made from there. Bristol City boss Gary Johnson gave his views on the subject:

"We're going to leave it until the last minute with (Adriano) Basso. Terry Skiverton hasn't been taking my calls for the last three days, but he took it this morning. Good on him, because he doesn't want to lose Chris Weale at the moment, and we're hoping anyway that Basso will be fit. Then we'll have him and Stephen Henderson. But I've spoken to Terry, and he understands that we might have to make a decision on the (Friday) morning and see how Basso has reacted to some treatment and what he thinks and then we'll judge it then. But Terry knows the situation."

If Adriano Basso does not pass his fitness test at Ashton Gate, then Weale will be recalled and Glovers keeper Josh Wagenaar will play between the sticks for the final four games of the season.
