If the match at Peterborough United represented one of the season's high points, then the trip to Bristol Rovers, three days later, represented one of the season's low points. Left managerless between the two fixtures, the Glovers went up the A37 and never really performed, particularly after the first goal was conceded, eventually slumping to a 3-0 defeat.
The two players who came out with significant praise were winger Andy Welsh (again!) and striker Paul Warne, who shared almost all of the outright votes between them. Warney sneaked the overall Man of the Match poll, by virtue of his second and third placed votes, but only by a small margin. The full results are shown below, with outright MOTM votes shown in brackets:
Paul Warne 118 (7)
Andy Welsh 108 (8)
Craig Alcock 24 (1)
Lee Peltier 18 (1)
Shaun MacDonald 12 (1)
Jonathan Worthington 12 (0)
Nathan Smith 8 (0)
Terrell Forbes 2 (0)
Aaron Brown 2 (0)
