Striker Kirk Jackson looks to be the first of this season's squad to head through the Out door, with Conference second tier side Hornchurch the favourites to sign him.
Jacko is believed to have admitted the interest from the club himself and a formal announcement is expected shortly. Hornchurch's new manager is Garry Hill, who managed Jackson during his loan spell at Dagenham and Redbridge and so the move comes as little surprise with Hill having sung his praises during his spell in east London.
Jackson spent two seasons with the Glovers, and was the club's top scorer during the 2002/03 season, scoring 20 goals as the club achieved promotion. However, he struggled to hit the back of the net this season, and managed just 5 goals and his appearances for the club gradually dwindled, making his release become inevitable.
Ciderspace wishes Jacko all the success he deserves at Hornchurch - without his goals last season, we would probably not be where we are today.
