It is with great regret that the Terry Skiverton Testimonial Committee have to announce the cancellation of the forthcoming race night planned for Friday 14th November, due to the failure to gain a licence for the event from the local authorities.
Originally it was planned to operate under the licence held by Westlands Sports and Social Club (indeed this was one of the main reasons for the choice of venue). However this was not sanctioned by the local licensing officer who has steadfastly refused our pleas for an independent licence.
The committee would like to sincerely thank those who have already pledged their support to the event and apologise for this sad conclusion to the event.
Plans are firmly in place for a number of other events. A large scale Dinner and Dance, again at Westlands is scheduled for March 7th, a Sportsman Dinner and Golf Day will follow.
