Yeovil Town assistant manager Steve Thompson has said that left-winger Andy Welsh is a significant doubt for Saturday's trip to Oldham Athletic, after picking up a groin strain in Tuesday's 0-0 draw at Huddersfield Town. Welsh had to be withdrawn at half time in the midweek match and Thommo told BBC Somerset that this may mean he needs to be rested this weekend:
"Andy Welsh came off injured at half time at Hudderfield and he's certainly a big doubt to be available on Saturday. Terry Skiverton has trained this morning and is suffering no ill effects, so hopefully he will be available. We've also got Aidan Downes and Nathan Smith who have both trained today. So it is good news on the injury front at the moment."
The dilemma in terms of team selection - aside from Welsh - would appear to be who to play based on the lengthy list of players who have recently had injuries, but are now back in training. All of Lee Peltier, Nathan Smith, Aidan Downes and Terry Skiverton are technically available for the game at Boundary Park. Thus much will depend upon match fitness and the form of those who they are seeking to displace in the side.
