Yeovil Town travel to Sixfields, home of Northampton Town hoping to kick-start their season again after a run of three games without a win. They come up against a Northampton side who bar their FA Cup exploits are having a poor season, particularly by pre-season expectations. The Cobblers lie in 16th place in the table, 14 points behind the Glovers in 6th place.
Yeovil go into the match without long term absentee Roy O'Brien (knee/ankle), whilst Nick Crittenden (hamstring) is also not expected to travel. Doubts remain also on Lee Elam (ankle) meaning that Andy Lindegaard could get his third league start of the season. Defender Colin Pluck will also need a test on his knee after withdrawing at half time on Saturday.
Glovers manager Gary Johnson, speaking to the club's redesigned official site has told his team to remain positive, despite the set-back of the last couple of weeks results, explaining: "We are in 6th place which is still a strong playoff place and it looks like the teams from 4th to 10th will be competing for playoff places. I have a quote that sums up our position at present and it is 'Victory belongs to those who believe in it the most and believe in it the longest.' That will certainly be the gospel I shall be preaching to the players."
Northampton Town manager Colin Calderwood has his own issues to deal with ahead of tonight's match. The Cobblers are without experienced defender Ian Sampson who serves a one match ban for a red card. Winger Josh Low who scored against the Glovers back in August, is out injured as is defender Peter Clark. Striker Richard Walker has returned to Blackpool following his loan spell at the club. Finally doubts exist over midfielders Marc Richards (concussion) and Paul Trollope (arm).
Tonight's referee is Mick Thorpe of Suffolk, who officiated in Yeovil's first ever home Nationwide League game back in August, seeing the Glovers triumph 3-0 over Carlisle United.
