Two more trialists have arrived at Huish Park this week. The first and higher profile is midfielder Albert Jarrett. He is a 6'1" 23 year old who has turned out for a scattering of clubs without really breaking into a side as a regular. Probably his most regular first team spell so far was the 23 games he clocked up for Brighton between 2004 and 2006, but otherwise he has struggled to get regular first team football, not helped by four of his clubs being loan spells. He is a free agent, having been released by Watford this summer.
He started his career as an Arsenal academy player before moving onto Wimbledon (just before they changed their name to reflect their franchise position). A spell with Brighton and Hove Albion saw him loaned out to Stevenage Borough and Swindon Town and this was followed perhaps surprisingly by Watford signing him up. Further loan spells with Boston United and a second spell with the now franchised MK Dons followed, until his release by Watford this summer. He is a Sierra Leone international, who made his debut in 2006.
The second trialist is Andre McCollin, who is a striker playing for Fisher Athletic, and therefore will know Glovers new pair Kieran Murtagh and Gavin Tomlin. He signed for Fisher from Corinthian Casuals, having netted 19 times for them despite being part of a relegated side. He has also played for Chessington United.
Given the timing of the release of this information, we'd guess that the pair will feature either in tonight's match against Plymouth Argyle or against Hillingdon Borough tomorrow night.
