Early diagnosis suggests that the knee injury sustained by midfielder Marc Bircham in Saturday's match is not of serious concern. Bircham limped off in the 7th minute of Saturday's match against Torquay United, but it is believed to be tendinitis of the knee - a possible consequence of the hefty training and pre-season schedule the club have undertaken.
Today's Western Daily Press also report that Terry Skiverton's second half withdrawl was caused by a groin strain, but that again this was precautionary. However, it would not be a great surprise if both players are rested for tomorrow night's match against Plymouth Argyle.
