Once again managed by Danny Thompson, Yeovil Under 14's took on a mixed team of Under 14's and 15's from Bournemouth. Played over 4 x 20 minute periods the game was a largely even afair which resulted in a 4-3 victory for the home team.
Yeovil went 1-0 down after 15 minutes of the first period as Henderson was beaten at the near post with a speculative effort from the left wing. In the second period Matthews beat his man on the left wing to put across for strike partner Williams to equalise with his first of the game, before Bournemouth capitalised on a breakdown in communications between Bond and Henderson, who for the second time was beaten at the near post.
Salter replaced Pathy on the right wing and Haines replaced Henderson in goal at half time. A triallist replaced Hopkins in the middle. From a corner on the right side Salter rose to head in a second equaliser for Yeovil, before Williams scored his second and Yeovil's third. Going into the fourth quarter, Bournemouth pushed their big centre half forward which created all sorts of problems for Yeovil as he scored an equaliser for Bournemouth. Not content to draw at home the same player stayed forward as Yeovil now under pressure suffered a last minute goal to leave the score at Bournemouth 4 Yeovil 3.
Final Score: AFC Bournemouth U14s/U15s 4 Yeovil Town U14s 3.
