Ciderspace News Page : BBC Somerset On FM
3 December 2007 : BBC Somerset On FM
A reminder that BBC Somerset Sound, who broadcast most of Yeovil Town's matches live, have their own FM frequency as of this morning. There is also a slight element of rebranding - they are now known simply as BBC Somerset.

Following years of only being available on the 1566AM medium wave band, the station can now be heard on 95.5FM - the frequency recently vacated by BBC Radio Bristol.

Overall, the programme content for both stations are unchanged - the difference should be that Somerset Sound should reach a wider audience than before, which should hopefully benefit Glovers fans who have been struggling to hear through the medium wave crackle.

For those who live away from the region and are still unable to pick up BBC Somerset, the alternative frequencies for BBC Radio Bristol vary according to where you are and are Bristol and South Gloucestershire - 94.9FM, Bath - 104.6FM, Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset - 103.6 FM.
