Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade has given his players two days off to try and freshen up after a hectic fortnight that has seen them cram in four first team games as well as a number of Reserve Team fixtures. With a 2-1 win secured on Saturday against Carlisle United and no first team fixture in midweek, Russell believes his players deserve an extended weekend.
Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol after the game, Russell said of his squad: "The boys are having Monday off and they've earned that. It's the same players that have put in a big shift over the past 14 days with the four games that we've had across each Saturday and Tuesday. So they have earned that and hopefully they can come back a little fresher when we take on Bristol Rovers on Saturday."
