Yeovil Town has announced the launch of the Achieve By Unity Fans Partenership which was set up just before the start of the 2007/2008 season. The club would like seven supporters from a cross section of fans to join this new discussion group as representatives of the fan base.
The aim of the partnership is to allow fans a chance to put their views to staff and directors of the club. It will meet on a bi-monthly basis at Huish Park with at least two of the meetings being an open forum. The partnership will consist of the following:
4 Full Time YTFC Officials.
4 G&WSC Reps.
1 Vice President Rep.
1 Disabled Supporters Association Rep.
7 Supporters Reps.
Whilst welcoming this move by the club, Ciderspace is unclear if the partnership will run alongside the current CCM format or if it is a direct replacement? We think it may be the latter. It will be a discussion group only and any final decisions will be made by the club.
It appears that representatives will initially be appointed to the partnership by the club. How they are selected, if more than seven apply, is unclear. Then, every twelve months, the partnership will be elected annually by advertising on the Official Website and the Match Day Programme.
Fans who are interested in applying to be a Fans Representative should contact Sara Bradley (Supporter Liaison Officer) by telephone on: 01935 423662 or email: Supporter_link@ytfc.net.
