Saturday's match against Northampton Town at Sixfields will be looked after by referee Paul Taylor of Hertfordshire. He has been a semi-regular visitor to Huish Park throughout the years, but his last match featuring the Glovers was away from home in February against AFC Bournemouth, where a 2-0 away win saw Mr Taylor fail to get a single mention in the match report - sounds promising!
His last visit to South Somerset was for the 0-0 draw against Bradford City in December 2006. Rather scarily we praised him in that match, and indeed found him to be one of the better officials around when he visited during the 2005-06 season for the 0-0 draw with Swindon Town, again praising him for a booking-free game.
There aren't too many referees around on the circuit that go consistently "unnoticed" during matches, and so fingers crossed that Mr Taylor will keep his same low key approach to Saturday's game as he has with past matches featuring ourselves.
Mr Taylor will be assisted by Steve Castle (West Midlands) and Sasa Ihringova (Shropshire). The fourth official will be Richard Smith (West Midlands).
