Ciderspace News Page : Russell's Verdict On The Plymouth Game
19 July 2007 : Russell's Verdict On The Plymouth Game
Glovers boss Russell Slade said he found the contrast between the first half team and second half team against Plymouth Argyle to be interesting as he tries to pick out the balance he needs to open up the League One season next month. The Glovers lost 2-1 against the Devon side, and Russell believed that whilst the first half side were more controlled and workmanlike, the second half side showed more flair and creativity.

Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol immediately after the game, Russell explained: "What it shows me is that we need to get the blend between the first half and the second half and then try to take that into the Cardiff game on the Saturday and start to nail down the chemistry, the balance and the sort of side that I want to be starting the season."
