Yeovil Town Reserves lost their second match in three days this afternoon with Cardiff City Reserves coming out 2-0 winners at Huish Park. James Upcott did the damage, scoring both goals with one in each half.
This was a much changed side from the more experienced side that took to the field against Team Bath on Monday night, with five trialists and one player who last turned out for the Youth Team around the turn of the year and has returned to allow a second session at Huish Park.
Upcott's first goal came eight minutes from the break when he took advantage of a loose ball when Cardiff saw a free kick blocked and half-cleared. The second was a header from a right-wing cross, with Upcott not letting his lack of height be a barrier to winning the ball in the box.
The Glovers saw their best chance fall to Lloyd Opara, who struck the crossbar in the second period, and the Peterborough United striker saw a number of other chances saved or put wide, after he gradually got himself into the game following a slow start.
