Ciderspace News Page : Leyton Orient Parking Warning
15 November 2006 : Leyton Orient Parking Warning
Reports have reached us that there is currently a clampdown on illegal parking in the Leyton area this season, particularly centring on those who park vehicles in the area during Leyton Orient's home matches.

Most parking restrictions in that area of East London apply on Saturdays and Yeovil supporters travelling to Leyton by car or minibus are warned to pay attention to parking notices, including "residents only" signs and "maximum stay" signs as currently the experience is that the local authorities are sticking to the letter of the law.

Due to previous problems with illegal parking, teams of wardens from local authorities and private companies are tending to come out in force on Saturday afternoons and are ticketing - and in extreme cases clamping - cars that break the stated regulations. The local perception is that it is football traffic in the Brisbane Road area that they are seeking to target. We'd therefore recommend that you pay close attention to the surrounding signs when parking your vehicle on Saturday.
